Influenster: Getting Started

I just signed up for a site called "Influenster".  If you don't know what Influenster is, it's a free, easy to use community where people of all ages use social media to give their opinions about products and experiences they've had.

You have the option to choose 5 "Expert Badges" in areas that interest you (but read through all of them first-you only get 5, so be sure the ones you choose most represent you!)  For me, I chose Fashionista, Tastebud, Fan Addict, High Spirits, and Sweet Tooth.

Once you've chosen badges, you have the opportunity to fill out surveys and write reviews about products that are connected to your chosen topic.  These badges you've chosen also help the company target you for something called a "VoxBox".  I just signed up last week, so I haven't gotten any offers yet, but from what I see on other blogs and websites, the VoxBox products are awesome!  You're often given several products to try out and review.

I'm sure I will be able to expand in more detail once given an offer (and I'll post pictures!) but if you sign up, from what I see, you will have more luck if you have a youtube channel and/or a blog.  The site relies heavily on social media influence, so they definitely favor those clients.  Right now my score is very low, but I hope to raise it over time by writing more reviews and starting this blog.

I also have a couple of referrals to give out!  If anyone would like to sign up, comment with your email below and I will give you a sign up link.  Otherwise, feel free just to sign up at www.influenster.com.

Introduction

Hi all!

My name is Jennifer, and I am currently in my last year of college before heading out into the real world.  Now with the added pressures of working and managing money, I've rediscovered the art of product testing and my passion for freebies.

I'd love to take you on my journey with me, as I review some of the sites I've recently signed up with.  I look forward to posting about all the products I get, and venting when I lose patience with a company.  I love speaking with people who share my passions, or who have had luck with these or other companies, so feel free to leave comments!  Thanks!
